Casey West, MA, LPC

Casey is EMDR trained and works primarily with teenagers and adults struggling with trauma (PTSD), abuse, anxiety, coping skills, depression, self-harm, bi-polar disorder, ADHD, OCD, chronic illnesses, and auto-immune disorders.
Casey’s belief that a human is “more than the sum of its parts” guides her counseling practice as she incorporates biological, psychological, social, and spiritual perspectives, noting how each dimension impacts the other. Because of this holistic approach, her clients find freedom from self-judgement, not viewing a struggle as a sign of moral failure or weakness, but as the complex reality that it is. Casey uses her energetic and authentic style to better understand her clients as unique individuals as they discover hope, change, and lasting healing that comes with proper care.
Casey doesn’t view the world strictly from an adult perspective, but also values the teenage brain and experience, remembering what it was like to be a teenager herself. Her “mind-body-spirit-connection” perspective and multigenerational worldview have helped Casey be intentional in defining her client base and seeking training in therapies that can help them the most. As an eclectic, “out-of-the-box therapist,” Casey is willing to do whatever it takes to help her clients reach their goals.
Casey is an Aggie and a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and has been a member of the ALCS team since 2011. Casey has been married to David since 2008 and has two small children who keep her life full of adventures.
Casey offers a sliding scale based on income for fee reduction for qualified clients.
